Have you ever seen behind the scenes of a movie where the production crew is laughing so hard they can’t breathe? I can say I was lucky enough to have experienced the same thing while working at Grover Gaming a time or two. I learned a lot from this chapter in my career. I was a very young designer and was searching for my little corner in the design world. After my employment at The DollarSaver, I wanted to learn more about different areas in the Graphic Design field. Design is a powerful tool in many public spaces and I was interested in learning technique and skills through a digital medium. I was hired at a computer software company, Grover Gaming September of 2013. They are located in Greenville, NC This was an exciting experience to be a part of. I assisted the lead Graphic Designer, Eduardo Vargas, with various projects such as, logo development, website development, branding, interface graphic creations such as digital buttons. I learned a lot and was able to apply knowledge from my previous position at The DollarSaver, to my job requirements at Grover Gaming.

I learned a lot while working at Grover Gaming. Not only regarding the actual work I was assigned, I learned how to work in a different environment than I was used to. There were 2 other women out of 35 total employees. Those women worked in sales and I rarely saw them. I assisted with branding a distributor sister company, Banilla Games. I contributed to the development of their website, application, as well as other promotional materials. I was able to learn how a software product was created marketed and distributed. Furthermore, I had the opportunity to provide illustrations as well as create marketing materials such as flyers, social media graphics and a website for an additional company under the Grover Gaming umbrella - Coco Pull Tabs.

Coco's Phone Tabs are 10 minute phone cards good for one phone call which can be placed from, and directed to, anywhere in the U.S.A. This number can be dialed from any touch-tone phone, excluding pay phones. The game promotion attached to each phone card allows a customer to reveal their entry by popping open a tab on the back of the card! I was able to provide illustrations for 2 of the newer themed Pull Tabs, "Sweet 7's" and "Lucky's Loot".
